Growing up I was overweight and noticeably unathletic. As a result, I was made fun of in school and especially in gym class. Trying to any type of exercise or sport left me with a feeling of shame about myself. I couldn’t run fast, I couldn’t throw a dodge ball, and worst of all, I could not even come close to doing a pull up. It set up a cycle of not liking physical activity because I associated it with negative comments and ultimately negative feelings about myself. The worse I felt, the less active I became. I shunned activity for most of my life. That is until I met Brian two years ago. As so happens, life provides a series of wake-up calls. A recent one for me was learning that I was going to be dad. I knew that a baby takes a lot of energy and to have that energy, I knew that things needed to change for physically. I decided to get a trainer to help me with this endeavor. I was wary that anyone could help me get through my life long dread and fear of physical activity, but then I met Brian.

When I first met Brian, he asked me to provide him with a list of goals. I was so unaware of what training and exercise was, that I could not provide with a specific answer. He could tell that even that simple questions caused me stress. He talked me through how to set goals. Then we set to work n achieving those goals. Brian was calm and supportive every step of the way. His training knowledge was amazing. He taught how to use and respect my body in ways I did not know possible. More important than the physical training, was the psychological training. He intuitively found ways to work through my fears and insecurities about exercise in ways that made me want to keep going and not give in as I had done every step of my life before I started training with him. MY confidence grew, I met my first set of goals, and we made more goals for me to achieve.

One the goals he helped me set for myself was doing pulls ups. Not once in my life had accomplished one and I was skeptical that this would every happen for me. Brian found a way though. He had gotten my body prepared, he taught me technique, then he did the most important thing in the whole process. He me supported me through my fear. Brian is obviously a talented athlete and his knowledge in training the body cannot be surpassed but his best gift in training is intuitively figuring out what your mind and your soul needs in order to succeed. For the rest of my life, I see myself as a different person, both physically and emotionally, thanks to Brian. He has given the me strength and stamina I need to keep up with my son which is an amazing gift. This brings me back to importance of a pullup. I could not do one. It filled me with fear. Brian was able to help me conquer this fear and he made the pullup a metaphor for me. I can do one now. In fact, if I really try, I can do ten. By extension, I can do anything as long as I have the confidence and the right person training me. Thank you, Brian, for all you have done for me.

I am a USA Track and Field Masters Athlete competing nationally and internationally as a Master Sprinter and Thrower. I compete in the 50m, 100m, 200m & 400m sprint races as well as Weight Pentathlons (throwing the Javelin, discus, hammer, shot put and weight throws). I started training with Brian this past May. Since that time, Brian has proved himself to be a skilled and dedicated athletic trainer. Brian has devoted much time and effort in designing each program according to my goals and needs. My purpose of training with Brian was to become faster and stronger on the track and field. Since training with Brian, my sprint times have drastically improved. He has enhanced my baseline testing performance tremendously. I feel faster and stronger and this past outdoor season was my best competition year since 2015. Brian’s athletic training programs are far from average, they are methodical with purpose. You will see results!
Brian is always focused on pushing me to achieve my goals; every training session is a challenge. Proper form and technique is very important to Brian in order to avoid any type of injuries as well as making sure you are warmed up initially.
Brian is a cut above the rest. He is a great mentor and role model. I would highly recommend Brian to anyone who is looking to improve their overall health and fitness or to any athletes who want to improve their total performance. I cannot thank Brian enough for all his assistance and guidance this year and continuing.

I was never one to go to a gym and workout with somebody. I joined the gym with plans to just go when I would get off of work at midnight to avoid the crowd. After joining the gym, Brian contacted me and asked if I wanted to have a free consultation with him, which I agreed to. He asked me what my plans were and if i'm working towards a goal. I told him that i've recently applied to a couple of Law Enforcement agencies but was denied due to failing the fitness test. I also told him that I was currently holding off on applying again due to a recent hernia surgery. Brian explained to me that he's a personal trainer and he can help me reach my goal without causing further injuries. I thought, yeah I guess i'll sign up just to see how this goes. Little did I know, signing up with Brian as my personal trainer was the best thing I did for myself. Brian really pushed me to work towards my goal and pushing for a healthier lifestyle. I thought I was in semi-good shape before but after a few workouts I realized that i've been working out the wrong way. Brian taught me different styles of workouts whether it was just using your body weight, kettlebells, TRX or just free weights. He's also very knowledgeable when it comes to eating smart (I also recommend his book). Between the workouts and clean eating, Brian was a huge help in getting me to reach my goal! I highly recommend training with him! ​

Brian is an excellent trainer. He was able to gauge my fitness level and personal goals and helped me grow and develop in my strength, flexibility, endurance and core strength. My posture benefited enormously and I rarely now have back pain which I was struggling with when we first started training. I lost weight, built muscle, grew in confidence and was able to become more active in my lifestyle overall.  Every training session, Brian provided me with motivation, instruction on proper form, education on nutrition and moral support. Every workout was uniquely tailored towards challenging me in new ways. Brian placed priority on me being able to know different ways to use gym equipment and do the exercises properly. I have not had any injuries with his technique. Even on days that I did not want to come into the gym, he held me accountable and these habits helped me change my whole morning routine. I have evolved into a morning person and I look forward to making my mornings the most productive time of my day. I am forever grateful

I feel extremely fortunate that he was there the day I walked into the gym finally admitting I needed help. It’s been a long, slow process because I get off track but Brian is always there to push me back in the right direction. He is patient and always ready to hold me accountable when I need it.

Brian takes the time to come up with individualized workouts and homework assignments catered to my specific goals and always includes functional movements that I will actually use. The workouts are hard but I try to tell myself the more I hate Brian during a workout the more I will love him after the workout because that’s how you see results.

I appreciate Brian more than I could put into words and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer. He takes the time to get to know you to find the best way to push you to achieve your goals.

Having been an athlete all my life, it was hard coming back. Brian was able to bring that out in me. Pushing me in ways no other trainer has and even shocking myself at what I thought was impossible.
